Meet the team
Tom Adams
Founder
A former reconnaissance British soldier, Tom brings resilience, discipline, and real-life experience to the heart of the community. After completing two tours of Iraq, he developed a deep understanding of both the physical and mental demands that life can place on individuals.
Having faced his own challenges with self-confidence, weight, and depression, Tom understands firsthand how difficult the journey toward better mental and physical health can be.
Through fitness, he found a path forward—one that not only transformed his physical wellbeing but also strengthened his mindset and sense of purpose. That experience sparked a passion for helping others who may be struggling in similar ways.
After climbing Everest, cycling across Africa and Arizona, and completing the length of the UK, Tom feels he has developed the skillset, resilience, and mindset needed to inspire others to push beyond their limits.
Tom is now dedicated to building a supportive community focused on mental health, wellbeing, and—most importantly—combating loneliness. He believes no one should feel like they’re facing their battles alone.
Still on his own journey, Tom leads with honesty and authenticity, showing that progress is ongoing and that every step forward matters.
Luke Henney
Team Leader
Comes from a footballing background, but persistent injuries forced him to step away from the game and rebuild his identity through a new path. What began as a challenge soon became a passion, with running unlocking not only his physical potential but also a deep understanding of discipline, resilience, and personal growth.
Driven by a desire to constantly improve, Luke has developed both the knowledge and ability to excel in running while inspiring others to do the same. Known for his outgoing energy, enthusiasm, and natural leadership, he is passionate about bringing out the very best in those around him and empowering runners to believe in their own potential.
By Volunteering at Rave Run , Luke is Passionate about creating an environment where runners feel confident, supported, and safe and believes that enjoyment and trust are just as important as performance. He is committed to helping others not only grow as runners, but also develop belief in themselves, knowing firsthand how powerful running can be in shaping identity, purpose, and wellbeing.

Team Leader
Chris started running just six months ago, beginning with Couch to 5K. What began as a way to lose weight quickly turned into something much more. After facing his own mental health challenges, running became a way to clear his mind—especially on tough days. Whether it’s a bad day at work or a mentally challenging moment, he laces up and gets out, using running as a reset.
At first, it wasn’t something he enjoyed, but he soon felt the benefits—getting outside, pushing through discomfort, and overcoming self-doubt. What started as a challenge has grown into a passion, and he now runs most days, always striving to improve.
Volunteering at Rave Run Club has given Chris a real sense of belonging, allowing him to be part of something bigger while supporting others on their own journeys. He takes pride in helping those just starting out, knowing firsthand how tough those early steps can be.
Outside of running, Chris is a proud husband and dad of three, along with his famously grumpy sausage dog, Frank. By day, he’s a sales manager, and by night, a small business owner with big ambitions and a strong drive to succeed.
